In this life we will have tests, the storms will blow
Mark 4:35 -41
35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side."36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
What will you do in the storm?
Here are some pointers to help us through:
1 May we live life with a perspective of Eternity - each day is like one "drop" in the journey called LIFE - transitioning us into Eternity. We are heavenward bound, not earthly burdened.
2 To continue on point one, the things we face here are temporary. Those painful, hurtful negative experiences, will not last forever
3 Remember always what God spoke. What he ordained cannot be thwarted by negative effects from the elements, man and the enemy. We are crossing over into better into God's best. Our latter will always be greater than our past through Christ Jesus
4 All (not some) things are working for our good and God's glory
5 Remember our days are founded with the one who has the power to calm the storm, sometimes he does but sometimes he takes us through the storm
6 We can find rest in God even through the storm
7 Faith is a by-product of intimacy with God. His voice with his spoken word will make a difference in any storm by even at first increasing our faith so we can be positioned to receive from him
8 Speak to the storm you have been given the authority to do so in the name of Jesus.
Amen
There are so many other pointers, these are but a few. Consider these, remind yourself of them.
You will "cross over"
