You are more than a Conqueror II (The weapons of our warfare)

Good morning dearly beloved

This is Part II of Sunday's message in case you missed the message on YouTube here it is:

The title of the message is YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR

To be effective in battle God has a finished work at Calvary's cross that guarantees one victory in any given situation. In addition he has given us weapons of warfare that when we use these weapons we are assured that God will bring us into victory

The first 2 weapons listed in the message was

1 The name and blood of Jesus

2 The word of God

Here is a detailed list of some of our weapons of warfare

3 The very presence of God himself and as his children - he will never leave nor forsake us

He is fighting for us and of special note dear friends - God has never lost a battle AND he is sovereign so he commands the armies of Angels. Jesus said

Matthew 26:53

Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels

One legion of angels is 6,000 ....imagine that.

Dearest friends why should we ever fear?

Psalm 34:7

The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them

Amen

4 Prayer is the next weapon and prayer is powerful! Prayer keeps us connected to God himself. Prayer should fuel all our daily activities, choices and thoughs. The amazing thing about prayer is it can be done anywhere and anytime, prayer can never be restricted. I could go on and on about prayer. If we were to write about prayer we could probably write 10 pages and still have more to write on too. For now I will encourage you to pray without ceasing.

5 God has given us armour for warfare:

Ephesians 6 Amplified

10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. 11 Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. 13 Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. 14 So stand firm and hold your ground, having [b]tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), 15 and having [c]strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news]. 16 Above all, lift up the [protective] [d]shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

18 With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all [e]God’s people.

There are some teachers that say we do not need to put on the armour daily, because we didn't take it off in the first place. My advise to you is not to do ritualistic prayers but be prompted by the Holy Spirit as to how to pray and when to put on the armour. We all sin and sin (that is even doubt, fear, unbelief and anything out of alignment with God's perfect will) damages the HOLY armour we therefore at times need to "repair" the armour through repentance and consecration

Well my friends I think that is enough food for today so I will again continue this message on Thursday

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again

Pastor J
