“Work through Me” - Jesus

The thought of making a New Year’s resolution is considered by many as being not worth it. We make resolutions and by the latest mid-year, we have forfeited the promises we made to ourselves. Not so, if accomplishing these goals are done through Jesus Christ.

Christians tend to forget our covenant with God when we face tough situations. Proverbs 20:24, “a man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own ways?” I read this quote based on this verse; “all man’s purposes and actions are so entirely subject to the control of God’s overruling providence.” This Proverb shows that the events of a child of God’s life are neither ordered or foreseen by man.

The success and prosperity of man’s journey are based on the providence of God. This encapsulates all our businesses and actions of life. “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst,” John 6:35. Man has free will, and is responsible for his actions but God foreknows all our actions. Psalm 37:23, “the steps of a good man, are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way.”

Saints of God, in this time we must know God’s will and purpose for our individual lives. Jeremiah 29:11, “for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

God Bless.
