An attitude of gratitude makes the world of a difference.
What is it about the human psyche? We are always striving for more, for better and some of us (me included) may have so many ambitions and dreams built daily. We may wake up striving, "stretching" the first thought that comes is soooo much to do! I tell you that was the place I was in this morning and I had such an urgency to get things done. But I had to reign myself in and remind myself get into prayer, thanksgiving, praise and worship first, the place of ABIDING IN GOD'S PRESENCE. I had already done the early am prayers, and woke up again but we have just got to (in this age of "superachievers" and quick fixes) make God our priority ALWAYS.
The other challenge we may face is what we hear and see happening around us. We seem to bombarded from every angle with negative reports from the media, family and friends.
If we look around us too much we will begin to groan, because these are also the times when the enemy seems to be turning up the "anti" against the believers. Many I talk to and counsel are battling weariness and frustration, it is as if our faith is being challenged with all sorts of unsound doctrine. It truly has not been easy what we have been through for the last year.
The antidote against frustration and weariness is to stay in Worship which begins with an attitude of gratitude.
As we awaken and start each new day and the new week, there is so much to give God thanksgiving for.
He woke us up one more time and therefore we are already recipients of his amazing grace and great mercy.
This should make us so grateful - WE KNOW GOD, in a lost and dying world. To know God is a special treasure, we need to thank him for drawing us close, because no one can come to him unless he first draws them.
Then these three other factors should cause us to always give God thanksgiving.
1 LOOK AT WHERE HE BROUGHT US FROM!
2 LOOK AT WHERE WE ARE HEADED TO - We are HEAVENWARD BOUND
3 LOOK AT ALL HE HAS FOR US TODAY - blessings, goodness, mercy, grace, love.....the list goes on and on - OUR CUP OVERFLOWS!
Won't you just give God thanksgiving
He is truly worthy of all our praise, adoration and Worship
Amen
Walk Good in Christ
Till we meet again
