What do we see?

Dear friends

Good morning, let us rejoice as we start a brand new week, excited and expectant about all that God has for us today, tomorrow and in the future. Our life is in his hands and he causes us to end well. We really do have the victory through Christ Jesus. Let's just trust God to do all he says.

So I did these selfies this weekend and I wondered which one I should use as my WhatsApp profile picture. I couldn't quite decide so I sent it to a few friends each of whom choose a different picture as being the best.

It occurred to me each of us looking at the same thing can see so differently. Perspective makes such a big difference in how we view life situations and even other people.

Two people can be looking at the same number and being so convinced that each is right. They are both right standing on opposite ends as one sees a 6 and the other a 9.

Think on this Matthew, Mark, Luke and John had the same experiences but wrote different accounts of the experiences. None of them lied, but, God ordained it so, so they could reach different people - Jews, Gentiles and more.

I have also found in life that one individual can find a situation so traumatic while to another it is like water "rolling of a duck's back".

Think carefully on how you view others. A lot of individuals are spend so much time sorting through conflict in personal relationships, always convinced something is wrong with everyone else.

Let us check carefully on the filters that we use to measure others:

  1. Are you using the filter of your own negative experiences? Leading one to have such distrust and suspicion in relationships

  2. Are you using the filter of someone's past mistakes?

  3. Are you using the filter of someone's obvious faults? I wrote obvious because we all have them and when the enemy wants to cause division he certainly makes those faults and shortcomings a big focus.

  4. Are you using the filter of something you heard about someone?

If we are using any of the filters above, we need to ask God to purify us and grow us in Agape love.

Going forward don't be so convinced that you're right all the time, always be willing to listen to another's point of view and most of all let us use the God filters as there may be "Peters" or "diamonds in the rough" amongst us.

You will definitely have more peaceful days with less conflict as you view others the way God sees them - with the insight of Agape love, and once blood washed (through Christ Jesus) God sees these individuals as brand new and finishing well (heavenward bound).

Please note dear friends that there are different styles, personalities and growth patterns. Some individuals grow quickly while others grow at a different pace.

I believe if we can look at individuals from a different angle - always looking for the good in them, then we will protect the unity in the body of Christ

Lord help us to see others the way you do - through the eyes of Agape Love. Lord give us the grace and wisdom to deal with each individual who comes our way. Remove anything of pretense and hypocrisy from us. May we be so filled with your love to the overflow and with this overflow may we cover, nurture and support many into purpose and destiny.

May the world truly know we are Christians by the way we love.

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
