What are we "Seeing" ?

The dictionary's definition of perspective is as follows: a particular attitude towards or way of regarding something; a point of view.

Synonyms to perspective are outlook, attitude, context

How we view things can be directly influenced by our upbringing, personality (optimistic or pessimistic), experiences and our culture. These factors also influence how we see other people.

I read this this week and I carefully considered it:

"We see ourselves through others.

How we see ourselves is actually how you see yourself, and what you think people think of you, is actually how you think of yourself"

This was actually a conclusion from scientific research

Think on that carefully

God's instruction to Abraham, was to look to the heavens and we see God speaking about lack of vision as being a causative effect for his people perishing.

Listen to this verse carefully as spoken by the spies giving their summarisation of the promised land, a place to crossover into for which God had already voiced HIS WILL, for he had told them before the spies were sent I HAVE GIVEN YOU THIS LAND.

Numbers 13:33

There we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Please read the story for yourself in Numbers 13 and 14

What influenced the Children of Israel seeing themselves as grasshoppers? Their experiences. At the time they were a very nomadic people. To further expound how they saw themselves was how they thought the giants saw them.

This mentality was one of defeatism and in fact only the two who could SEE the way God said ie.

Caleb and Joshua, made it into the promised land

How you view situations and individuals are a result of your heart condition and also influences what we speak out of our mouth.

No matter how many times someone may tell you, until you can see it God’s way and receive this in faith as truth...we can’t have all God says.

All these are parts of the process into victory and overcoming.

May God purify our hearts, root us, ground us in his love and give us supernatural insight and foresight. May he give us the measure of faith we need and cause us to WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT 2 Corinthians 5:7. May God give us "Eagle's eyes" in the realm of the spirit so that we may be able to "see" the enemy's traps and pitfalls way in advance.

We need to see ourselves as eagles not chickens, gliding far above the storm clouds because we are in Christ

My friends those are some steps for Living the Victorious Life through Christ Jesus.

Walk Good in Christ

Till we meet again

Pastor J
