Walk not in ungodly counsel

Christians today need to lead a righteous life, set examples and refusing to be influenced by godless attitudes. Despite the temptations and popularity sinful lifestyle offers.

Believers should not side with or imitate those who despise God's standards of holiness.

Some ungodly are very forward and quick to counsel the believer, they will warn us against being too strict and extreme, advising us to be broadminded and show tolerances or to, "make best of both worlds." These individuals are guided by self-will and are self-pleasing, they have no fear of God, they are dominated by what is called common sense and man-made opinions.

Professing Christians must be cautious, never, never take counsel in business, career, relationship, the way you dress, type of movies you watch, your child/children future but consult God. "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths". (Proverbs 3:6)

Under no circumstances whatsoever must a Christian seeking counsel from any unsafe individuals who partake and indulge in iniquity, witchcraft and sorcery.

A Child of God must avoid persons with a heavy tongue full of vulgarity and profanity, dealing with such a person becomes an exercise in patience, love, and grace. “Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered” (Proverbs 22:24).

Saints of the highest God must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

The word of God stands above opinions and ungodly laws, there are multiple Bible characters whose lives are examples for us to learn from and get positive counsel.

There can be no walking with God, no following of Christ, no treading the way of peace, till you separate from the world, avoid ungodly counsel, forsake the path of sin, and turn to Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour.

Psalm 1.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. His delight is in the law of the Lord, and his law doth he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The blessed is complete with all of God's love and provision.

We pray these words with edifying, challenge and motivate you.
