Birth that miracle II (Peninah?)

Dear friends

This is a continuation of Sunday's message. If you somehow missed the message I will share the link at the end.

I got into the account in 1 Samuel 1 about the intercessions of the "childless" Hannah resulting in her birthing one of the greatest miracles.

Now God has placed many miracles within us when he created us. Some of these are yet to come forth.

The more we grow in God is the more we discover the impossiblities that we can tap into just by living out of the flow of abiding in God’s presence.

When we look at Peninah she had an important role to play in the scenes behind. She was a rival who had many children, these children seemed not to have much significance as they remained unnamed in the biblical account given.

Peninah constantly taunted Hannah about the fact that she had no children.

Here are the characteristics about Hannah that would account for would show why God chose her to bear one of the greatest Prophets who ever lived.

1 There is not one account given of Hannah responding to Penninah's taunts about her childlessness. It must have brought her much shame and gruelling pain. I think like many of us, she would probably be thinking "God have you forgotten me?"

Dear friends

Let it be that our shameful experiences will drive us into the place of brokenness before God and deep travailing intercession.

Many of us may make the negative experiences that come through others our main focus. We miss the bigger picture of what God is trying to accomplish beyond our uncomfortable situations and may even crossover into carrying a victim mentality. Where we begin to identify ourselves by our circumstances or by the names others call us.

2 Hannah covenanted with God - she vowed to dedicate her gift from God to his service

3 She gave God her best - her most prized possession

Dear friends what are you holding onto today that is keeping you from God's best?

Is it that offence from a wrong done, that has become such a stumbling block and even taken root in the heart and soul, spaces that God needs to occupy?

Is it the thing which you prize the most that God said to give?

Let it go today my friends, give it to God.

Let me tell you some truth, there is always going to be something else that we want that we don't have. Yesterday in bible study we were having a discussion and it became clear that no matter how many prayers God answers, there will always be something else to "ask" for. We just need to learn to be content today.

Let me share another big truth - the enemy will always stir rivals and opposition to the vision God gives us. If we make this our focus we will only loose time and energy and gain discouragement.

Please remember at all times God is a just God and he is the one allowing these uncomfortable situations, honestly many of us would not be spurred into deep prayer, travailing intercession and brokenness before God if it were not for these grueling heartbreaking experiences.

Let these negative experiences birth great purpose in God.

I pray God will give us grace and insight as we go through.

This website and the channel on YouTube were birthed during Covid. A frightening time for many of us when our freedom was taken away and possibility of death by disease faced us every moment.

The dynamic prayer group we have was birthed from a negative heartbreaking incident with one of my children.

Please remember the resurrection came after the crucifixion.

We have to have made up minds that every single experience in our life will birth something beautiful and give God glory.

My friends don't loose any more time looking back or staying stuck because of "negatives"

Move forward now accomplish the great purpose that God called you into

Make lemonade out of the lemons

Learn to dance in the rain

Amen

Here is yesterday's message

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
