Waiting: W-A-I-T-I-N-G
Honestly some of us may wish that that word did not exist and to be very honest I still sometimes don't quite understand God's timing.
I am here to encourage you today, that waiting does not mean no, it really means grow.
It is in waiting season that God refines our character, developing such character traits such as patience, strength and endurance.
Think on this too, if we had everything we wanted or needed we would not learn to depend on God. The word says Jesus learned obedience through his sufferings (Hebrews 5:8)
Listen to these words:
2 Peter 3:8
8 Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day. 9 The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance
Be encouraged. I pray God will give you grace and strength as you wait.
I pray for some who have waited long that God will cause new faith and hope to arise and for him to cause us to trust him and wait with expectancy. May he give us the assurance we need this very moment.
I remind you my friends that mushrooms take just a few days to grow and are easily blown away, but look at the Oak and the palm. They take years to grow and their root systems help them to stand "formidably" and unmoving during adverse weather patterns or external conditions.
Well that is what we will be like as long as we allow our roots to grow deep in God. In challenges, storms and adversity. Those roots will still draw sustenance from God himself.
My friends endure, endure into your promise in Jesus name.
Hebrews 10:36
For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
