Begin anew to take those steps of faith

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

Life includes making mistakes and having failure.

Every normal human being goes through growth "stages" - babyhood to adolescence to adulthood. So it is when we come to Christ. We start off taking "baby steps" of faith and then as we prove God, we grow more confident and move into walking and then finally we learn to jump, leap and run. It is adorable watching babies try and try again, no matter how many times they fall. As parents sometimes we want to help them all the time, no matter what we do though, those babies stand, walk and run on their own. It is instinctual and natural to try to walk and to keep going until they can. Sometimes they may need a little help too.

That is how it is in Christendom,

We may fall but we never give up, we keep trying.

God doesn't expect that we will not fall or fail. However, he expects that we learn wisdom from our experiences. If we keep doing the same thing over and over again, but we expect a different result, we may be walking in disobedience and some even to the point of presumption.

The reverential fear of God will cause us to have a desire to change. If it is not religion, then out of a love relationship with God there will be a deep desire to walk in ways that please God.

We each grow at a different pace. God decides each individual's pathway and for some he may do a quick work in them because he has something he wants to accomplish in and through them.

Perhaps you have fallen (failed) in some way, then pick yourself up and begin again today. Do not allow the enemy to keep you in the place of condemnation.

Conviction is a good thing, it means God has not turned one over to a reprobate mind.

Repentance is even better because it means we are turning away from the old way of sin and its resultant consequences. It means we are turning to God and walking in ways that produce a good fruit.

Begin today

Take those steps of faith

Walk Good in Christ

Till we meet again
