The Work Of A Christian Is Never Done
The culture surrounding this modern era of Christianity is one of seclusion. It is evident we have adapted the attitude of “stay in your lane”. It is so uncommon for an older Christian to correct, guide or even to encourage the younger around us. Paul spoke to this when he directed Titus how or what to teach the Church in Crete.
He told him to teach the aged men and woman how to be teachers to the younger people within the body. Aged men need to set the example by being sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity (love) and patience, Titus 2:2. Likewise the aged women, their behavior should be of holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things, verse 3.
Verse 4-5, “that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children. …. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, …. “. Teach the young men likewise, exhort to be sober minded, showing good works, in doctrine uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, …. verse 6-8.
Paul said these things must become sound doctrine., verse 1. Is this doctrine enforced around us? Or are we fearful in teaching these things? I realize our children and the youths around us are getting away with much. I pray today we take a stand for righteousness sake.
God bless.
