The three "R's" of Evangelism

Biblical illiteracy appears to be at an all-time high globally, yet the Bible is still the greatest best selling Book of all times. Many humans have never considered the obvious truth that there is something desperately wrong in our world. Look around, it is visible in plain sight; the chaos of wars, the mayhem of murders and racism, the unpredictable disasters, earthquakes, storms and volcanoes eruption. The Bible however explains where we are coming from, why we are here and how we got to be in this sinful situation, the solutions necessary to prepare and correct our sinful status and where we are going. The Biblical message simply is that man has rebelled against his Maker and God has launched His rescue mission. However, with free will man has the choice to receive or deny God's grace. Nevertheless, God's laws are unchangeable and comes with consequences for whichever choice you make. There are three chapters of Scripture which shows the path to restoration and repatriation of the soul. They are Genesis 3:14-15 (Ruin), Romans 3:21-26 (Redemption), John 3:1-8 (Regeneration). These show the strategies for evangelism, and are easy to recall or memorize for personal face-to-face evangelism. 1. Ruins: Genesis 3:14-15 We begin here with the garden of Eden creation's paradise and the fall of man. The rebellion of man brought him into ruins. The redemptive story starts in Genesis where the Bible unfolds; 'the seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent'. The serpent will bruise the heel of the woman’s offspring, but this promised one will deal a death blow to the serpent, killing him as only one can a serpent, by a smashed head. This leads naturally to the good news of God’s rescue mission. 3. Redemption: Romans chapter 3:21-26 is the "magna carta" of salvation, as a matter of fact the book of Romans is considered the gem of the New Testament. Romans chapter 3 contains the entire matrix of the work of Christ which He accomplished on the cross. His work on the cross provided full pardon from the guilt of sin for every sinner who believes. 3. Regeneration: John 3:1-8 God calls on sinners to repent and be reconciled to Him while leaving the results to Him by trusting Him in faith. God changes the sinful human heart, sets it free from the bondage of sin, and enables it to believe that Jesus is indeed the way, the truth and the life. This is the new birth experience. The three "R's" were developed by the Prince of preachers Charles Spurgeon who was a trailblazer and was efficient in evangelism techniques. It is an effective tool for evangelism even among the most simple and nervous saints. Marcel & Jacqueline Bruff ❤️ For walk good in Christ
