The Thief Is Also After Your Joy

Saints of God, this subject has hit me like a ton of bricks and I don’t think we give it enough thought. When terrible things are happening unexpectedly and suddenly to us, do we look at it from the perspective of satan is trying steal our joy?

The Bible puts it this way, “the thief cometh not but for to steal.…”, John 10:10. The principal objective on a thief’s mind is to steal, to invade, to seize and to take away someone else’s property. Our joy is one of our properties that the enemy has targeted. Nehemiah 8:10, “for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

If our joy is stolen, we become saddened, deflated, degenerated; a feeling of defeat comes upon us. Fear takes over, leaving us no room for faith. We become weak, opening the door for satan to take advantage of us. James 1:2-3,”my brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of our faith worketh patience.”

My brothers and sisters please be mindful of your joy because lack of joy produces weakness. Our joy, irrespective of what’s transpiring, releases our faith in the true and living God. Our joy is a reflection of the love of Christ Jesus in our life.

God Bless.
