The Spiritual and the Natural World (part 1)
It takes only a child to look around and see that something is wrong, that our world is broken,
It also takes common sense to observe our surroundings and see inequalities, injustice and poverty.
The core of humanity's troubles is our sinful nature, we all have the knowledge of good and evil passed down from our ancestors.
God's instructions in the beginning came by his words, all things were created and came into being through him, the natural world exists.
2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we look not at the things that are seen but at the things that are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal but the things that are not seen are eternal".
Science's domain is to explore nature. God's domain is in the spiritual realm, a dimension not possible to explore with the tool and language of science. It must be examined with the heart, the mind and the soul.
The Holy Spirit which teaches all truth is the way to understand and embrace both spiritual and natural.
"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come" John 16:13
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth so he cannot lie. When the Holy Spirit comes to us, he makes us understand the truth and do the right thing.
As Christians we need the Holy Spirit to guide us in understanding the spiritual realm.
Next week we will look further into both worlds.
