The Path of the righteous shines brighter and brighter

Proverbs 4:14 - 19

14 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers.

15 Avoid it; do not travel on it. Turn from it and pass on by.

16 For they cannot sleep unless they do evil; they are deprived of slumber until they make someone fall.

17 For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

18 The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday.

19 But the way of the wicked is like the darkest gloom; they do not know what makes them stumble.

GOD IS LIGHT

1 John 1:5 - And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

Have you ever gone into a dark room and struck a match - no matter how dark the room is the smallest of lights overtakes the darkness.

That how the presence of God is - one true encounter with God will change a life forevermore. The life of that believer - as we grow in God and become more Christlike will shine brighter and brighter.

That life will change (by influence) many other lives and overtake the darkness in these lives.

Let's look at light again though - light must have a power source....that source is God himself. Are you tapped into that source?

Here is how you can tap into that source so that our light will shine brighter and brighter

1 We need to spend time in the Word of God. The Bible is our source of spiritual nourishment, and it helps us to grow in our faith.

2 We need to pray regularly. Prayer is our way of communicating with God, and it helps us to stay connected to Him.

3 We need to be involved in a community of believers. This is how we ensure we do not operate in error (as we make ourselves accountable) and find support and encouragement.

4 Have a made up mind to be a blessing that is to love and serve others. We must first be so filled with God’s love, so we can pour out to others.

Love brightens a life, watch and see how a life is transformed by love

The enemy can mimic many gifts but he cannot love.

The true source of Agape love is God himself.

Pour out love and shine that light today and everyday my friends, you are called to be the light and salt of this earth.

Lord give us the grace to all you called us to do, may we not be distracted or miss an opportunity to shine your light and pour out your love.
