Dear beloved friends
May God bless you exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or even imagine.
These words are so profound:
THE PAST
is a
Life Lesson
not a
Life Sentence
We have to look at the fact that God shaped each of us for a great purpose and with a great destiny and the life lessons God uses as a preparation tool
Now how many of you were born like Christ and grew Christ like?
How many were immune to life's trauma and tribulations. Jesus himself said in this world we will have tribulation John 16:33
Not one of us can say we weren't bruised, traumatised, betrayed, hurt, wounded
And
Not one of us can say we have never failed, made mistakes, hurt others, done the "unthinkable", sinned (even as Christians), fallen short, felt like giving up and so much more.
My friend Sharon says it's calling "LIFE-ING"
Now what we do with these life experiences truly causes us to grow in Christ, glorify God, birth testimonies, ministries and messages.
In God's order all these life experiences are preparing us for something greater.
He will definitely make ALL things beautiful in HIS time
and
ALL things are certainly working for our good and his glory because we love him and we are the called according to his purpose.
But how does this happen?
It begins with letting go off those life experiences that would taint us and giving them to God because we realize our own frailty and the Father's sanctifying, healing power. He doesn't mean for us to keep things comparted in our soul - Replaying the past.
Instead let us have an attitude that something good can come from every "bad" once you belong to God.
Now I love these words that Paul states:
Phillipians 3:13/14
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus
Only God can cause us to forget, let's give ALL to him today
And we need to press
The word "press" is again the Greek word dioko which means "to intently, earnestly seek or pursue." It is in the present tense which indicates a continuous effort
My friends let us be bold, be brave, to press on. Forgetting those things that are behind, shake loose. I tell you the truth - that is how God will be glorified in our life and he will mold something beautiful from even the worst experiences, if only we let go and let God
Amen and amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
Pastor J
