The Importance of Early Morning Prayer by Pastor Tiveen Perry

Ever felt like you’ve started off your day and inadvertently forgotten to give thanks to the LORD and Creator of your life?

It can happen; maybe, it is a great idea to embrace five (5) important steps to the commencement of a day with God as the Author ✍🏽 and the Finisher of our faith:

1. Do not fail to set aside and maintain a specific time of each day (beginning in the morning) to Worship God. Set aside, a personal time to communicate with God in an intimate conversation and setting.

When God created you and I, He had a desire to maintain a quality relationship with us. He doesn’t want ‘Visitation,’ He wants a life long re-lat-ion-ship with His beloved children.

There’s no Court Order for visitation only a committed order in the form of a relationship between a Father and His child individually and His children collectively.

David did this when he was here on earth; he made numerous affirmations of God’s goodness and; for even the things and blessings he had received and, hoped to receive prior to God’s delivery… in his life. ( Psalms 5:3 & Mark 1:35).

2. Our Morning Devotions Produces Inspiration.

The Morning devotional brings insights and it’s almost like the dough being formed to produce the morning meal. It’s your time to read God’s Word; reflect on it and; you walk away with the substance of faith believing; that what God’s Word promised will come to fruition, oh glory to God, hallelujah!.

After a morning devotion, you get that aaah ah moment, when you can skip like a young child running off to school after a nutritionist breakfast and; full of vitality to learn from his or her educator only; this Educator is Almighty God our Heavenly Father.

Here’s a nutritional Bible nugget found in (Matthew 5:16).

3. A Moment With God Gives You Strength.

With morning devotional prayer, you obtain spiritual strength.

Let’s look at Ephesians 3:16….ready read.

Here, we see; that this is not only obtaining strength in the inner man, we also obtain strength to push through another day and; to conquer what ever is set before us in the natural.

Maintaining a life in the devotional realm with God, also bolsters our faith and forms a ‘Bulwark’ against the wiles or strategies of the devil. We are fortified with spiritual fortitude in the following two examples the Apostle Paul taught us, one is in the athletic realm:

1. That of a fully trained Soldier.

2. That of an Athlete trained for combat ( 2 Timothy 2).

Here we see, two characteristics on how each person both trained and executed his duty successfully.

Nevertheless, through rigorous training; while a soldier becomes effective in the battlefield and the athlete is aptly prepared for the race set before him or her with victory in mind.

4. We Have A Clear Cut Direction From God.

It is a beautiful thing when you’ve spent quality and intimate time with God through your morning devotional. This is like an Architect reviewing the ‘Floor Plan’ for a bid on an upcoming project, only; this is with you and God the Chief Architect who will define the next move in your life.

With your endeavors to note specific instructions from God during this time of ‘Clear Cut Direction From God,’ there are also the distinct benefits of blessings and victory from God in its proper perspective.

5. Last however, certainly not least in this segment:

We become Optimized And Energized!

Beloved, from a recent poll, the numbers are staggering! There are over 3000 million people suffering from depression. Unfortunately, we’re not going to differentiate the various forms of depression.

This is one of the fundamental reason why we encourage the believer to stay ‘Energized and Optimized.’

The idle mind is the sanctuary or devils workshop, God forbid; let that never be found among us after today. We will spend the first fruit of our God given day in ‘Morning Devotion’ with Him and; it would not be robbery to include your family if you’re blessed with one from an early age. Children ‘LEARN’ what they see and are adaptable to that which they are molded in and on.

When me make our morning devotions a set pattern lifestyle; we have more enjoyable days and goals to pursue, knowing that God is our ‘Director of operation’ and our life. Not only will we find numerous affirmations of blessings and victorious outcomes illustrated in the Bible, we are still witnessing God’s hand of prosperity which is the fruit and labor of quality time spent with God. ( Isaiah 41:10).

Jeremiah 29:11 also gives us another profound biblical encounter and, serves as encouragement today, to God be all the glory.

Please join us next week Wednesday. June 16th. 2021 for the completion of this profound and potent ‘Prayer Guide.’
