The here and now

Good day friends

Last Thursday during our weekly prayers I asked the team members what the prayer requests were, all of us responded and I responded that this is what I need immediately.

Immediately - the here and now

Let us define faith

Hebrews 11:1 - 3

Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

3 By faith we understand that the [c]worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible

The chapter begins with N-O-W

This indicates expectancy. Faith and expectancy should "walk hand in hand"

We should ask and then position ourselves to receive (Matthew 21:22)

The receiving position is one of expectancy

The meaning of the Greek is of such:

The word hope in the New Testament is from the Greek word elpis. According to Strong’s Concordance, elpis means expectation, trust, and confidence. It comes from the root word elpo, which means to anticipate (with pleasure) and to welcome. Elpis is an expectation of what is guarantee

Here are a few points on living with expectancy - absolutely trusting God

1 Let us be confident that when we run to God with our issues, he will not only hear us but answer us too. We recognise him as our only source for all we need. He is the best source our Jehovah Jireh, the provider of all our needs. He will certainly cause our cups to overflow and do the exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or even imagine

2 We need to pray specifically, asking God with details. If we pray general prayers, then we will have general answers. Though God knows our need before we ask, his spiritual laws dictate that we ask. Asking is a position of faith

3 After we ask and discern God's will we need to shift our position to be one of receiving - we begin to give him thanksgiving and look out with expectancy. Believing is seeing in the Kingdom and not the other way around of seeing then believing

4 Today - the here and now. Though we make plans for tomorrow. Lord teach us to be content in all. We "write" the vision (even to inscribe on our hearts and mind), but it is all about God's purpose for our lives, so he will make the way. We will not worry for worry is really FEAR about our tomorrows. Let us remember our tomorrows are in God’s hands.

He is still in the business of doing suddenly miracles.

I can testify because that prayer that was prayed openly in the prayer group, God answered my prayer in 1 day! Awesome miracle working God.

I tell there is no better place to be than IN HIM
