As I sat with my newly found friend in the Lord and ask, what is your word for me today? He said look up, it’s right there in the sky.
Psalm 19:1, “the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork.” This scripture came to mind as he started me on a journey. Look at the clouds, he remarked and its formation, look how it never it never sits still, it changes and moves around. He said, I am totally in awe of God’s awesomeness, His beauty, His creative mind and hands. How can we not worship Him?
David, the writer of Psalm 19 was actually saying to us, look up and experience God’s glory. David’s spirit was rejoicing as he looked up, signifying God’s greatness, His eternal power and Godhead. The Psalmist spoke of God’s infinite wisdom and goodness, all became visible to him as he gazed at the heavens. Declare here means, to preach or to tell, in-other words, how can you experience God’s glory and keep it to yourself.
As I looked up, it felt like I was in a different realm, all I kept thinking was how great our God is. The firmament, this dome like creation that separates the earth from the sky, plays host to everything that’s above the earth. This defines the knowledge and wisdom of God. We with our mortal minds are saying, how is this possible, but all things are possible with God.
If you are in any doubt of God’s ability, look up, the heaven and firmament will declare it to you.
God Bless.
