The god of secular science by Marcel and Jacqueline Bruff

The following question was asked in a WhatsApp group.

IS IT A SIN? A Christian sister got pregnant and the Church decided to discipline her since she was not married. When the elders of the Church met and interviewed her, she told them that she has stayed and remained in the Church for several years and no one is marrying her and she is approaching the age of menopause where she can't get pregnant even if married. So after reading some Christian medical journals on these issues, she decided and did artificial insemination since she too wants a child. She tendered both the medical journals and the medical documents that showed that she had done the artificial insemination from a reputable hospital. The Sister is pregnant without committing fornication nor adultery with any man. NOW, COULD THIS BE A SIN? Kindly give your reasons for your answer and if possible back it with Scripture, so that we can learn. You may wish to send to other Christian group and see their position on the matter. What's your position? Your opinion with scriptural backing.

I am familiar with this story. Last week my wife brought it to my attention. It was generated by Christian intellectuals from a particular WhatsApp group that I will not mention in this article, for obvious reasons.

The question asked in the whatapp group, requested answering with one's position, opinion, and if possible back it with Scripture. Firstly this is alarming, as Christians are subjects and must remain submissive to Christ and his Holy words, therefore one personal position or opinion is irrelevant. The Bible is the final authority, and all scriptures must remain in context.

There were various kinds of responses based on individual Christian culture and religion background, of the various replies two groups stirred me to write this article,

1). The group of unmarried single saints.

2). The group of married couples.

Some believed artificial insemination was right.

Some believe artificial insemination wrong. However, before we go down that rabbit hole of right and wrong, let us examine God's words.

Bear in mind, modern science does not change or alter the words of our eternal Creator and God.

Also please note, God's words are relevant today, as they were thousands of years ago.

Governmental, man-made laws may change from generation to generation, however, God's laws remains forever.

Overall, this is a moral question and as such should lead to a moral answer, remember God's moral laws are unchangeable.“For I the Lord do not change."(Malachi 3:6)

If there's ever a generation that question the natural cycle of things, it is this generation.

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

Medical insertion of semen from a know or unknown recipient is strictly prohibited, as; "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." (Hebrews 13:4-6)

Look at the bigger picture here, and I want you to look deeper and take it with the fear of God and the Holy Spirit.

Don't be drawn into the deception

The foundational nuclear families are under threat, lifestyle choices, and as science and technology advances here in the western world people are moving from Judeo-Christian conservative values to sinful secular liberalism. There are emotional, spiritual and physical ramifications when man plays God and the consequences are life changing.

Any single Christian female, unmarried and having the thought to use artificial insemination from sperm donor must remember that their bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

"Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own."

if both individuals are married as husband and wife,

And they agree to using a surrogate, (their same ovary, their same sperm together as one) then it remains under the marital covenant of two flesh becoming one (the leavage and cleavage rule in (Genesis 2:24)

"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

An unmarried Christian female must remain Virtus, pure and holy, as her body is God's vessel.
