Does it really help focusing on past mistakes, mishaps, hurt, pain, failures, grief and all those negatives - that have already gone. It is impossible physically (and spiritually) to move forward while looking back. I actually asked individuals once to attempt doing this, when I had a preaching assignment...it was in fact impossible and after taking only a few steps one begins to topple and become imbalanced.
So why do we constantly dwell on the past?
AND
When we are constantly being reminded about things done and said to us that caused us pain. Our wound cannot heal.
I find it really helps to have an attitude of gratitude.
If we look again, we will see things differently.
Only God himself could have brought us through those experiences! He strengthened us, helped us and brought us through.
It is clear he never left our side for he is our ever present help whenever we are in trouble.
I pray we will always remember what God has done for us, if we should count our blessings we will always walk with thanksgiving no matter what we face.
Abbah Father
We ask you to give us hearts of thanksgiving and an attitude of gratitude
We chose at all times to Rejoice
In Jesus name
Amen
Walk good in Christ
