Spiritual Connection
Acts 9:3, “and as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from Heaven:” This event marks the start of Saul’s transformation.
I had the privilege of listening to a young lady’s testimony in the midst of our Canada Day celebration. She spoke of her spiritual connection with God. Having accepted Christ from a tender age, she became very active in Church, through her proficiency in music.
Mia went on to speak of being in the Church and having no connection with God. I was oblivious to the fact that someone could be a Christian and not be spiritually connected with God. When Mia recognized her lack of spiritual connection, she left the Church. There she was more exposed spiritually but still didn’t feel satisfied. Mia moved again to the Church she’s currently attending and this is where she found the spiritual connection she was seeking.
There’s an initial connection when we first recognize God’s calling for our lives. After Paul recognized and accepted his calling, a spiritual connection started to develop. Through faith growth began. Romans 8:6, “for to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Are you spiritually connected with God? “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
God Bless.
