Solar-eclipse's effect by Minister Owen Mitchell

Solar-eclipse’s Effect

April 8th, 2024 is now a day marked in history. This day we experienced a solar-eclipse. An event we will not experience again until 2044 or 2045. The attention that was on the eclipse was world-wide and very intense.

In the midst of all the excitement surrounding this time, I couldn’t help but to think about our hearts and the things that takes precedence in our lives. The crowd that was present to witness this memorable occasion in the designated areas, was vast. The Bible says “the Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth His handiwork,” Psalm 19:1. But, with all the coverage given, the emphasis was not on God.

There’s a catastrophic event that is on the horizon, the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A time that needs our full attention; a time that will come like a thief in the night, 1 Thessalonians 5:2. A solar-eclipse is when the moon passes between the sun and the earth, causing darkness. A day is coming as Joel prophesied in Joel 2:31, “the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.”

Where is the fear of the returning of our Lord Jesus Christ? “For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shoot, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together ….,” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Are you ready?

God Bless.
