Salvation the Process of Deliverance by Minister Owen Mitchell

Salvation the Process of Deliverance

Isaiah 61:1, “the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me: because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tiding unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; Jesus quoted these words in Luke 4:13, when teaching in the synagogue. In verse 21 He went on to say, “…. This day is the scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

The Lord was given the authority and was commissioned to spread the gospel to the poor, the penitent, the humble; the poor in spirit. To give relief and comfort to the burdened, the distressed and the downtrodden. To discharge freedom from the dominion of bondage, sin, self and satan and from the fear of death and hell. He was given the power to open eyes and deliverance from prison and to set at liberty those that are bruised. Jesus is our comfort!

Salvation is the process of deliverance, it is the act of a person being saved from sin and its consequences, such as death and separation from God. Salvation can only come through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Salvation brings deliverance. “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world,” 1 John 4:4. We have a sufficiency in Christ Jesus. Deliverance means to be set free or to be rescued.

We are delivered through salvation, through the blood that was shed of the cross. But the process doesn’t stop there, we need to “…. resist the devil, and he will flee from you,” James 4:7.

God Bless.
