Safety through accountability

My dear friends as I reflect today I recognise it is of utmost importance to "belong" to a group of Holy Spirit filled believers. I have seen too many who as they grew in Christ, grow to be too confident in themselves and grew in Pride and operated with a Spirit of error. I saw them walking through the consequences of these choices.

As I sought the Lord he gave me strategy as to how to prevent this in any effective ministry.

1 Always surround yourself with Holy Spirit filled accountability partners who are unafraid to speak truth

2 Humility will cause one to listen to others and pray when there is criticism - God speaks to us in many ways and one of those ways is through negative circumstances and other believers.

3 Submit to wise leadership and submit one to another

Here are a few verses on the matter:

Proverbs 11:14

Where there is no counsel, the people fall;

But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working

Proverbs 27:17

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Luke 17:3

Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him

Proverbs 12:15

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice

Amen

Below is some adapted research. I hope it will help

What does the Bible say about accountability? Scripture teaches that we will be held accountable before God and that we are meant as brothers and sisters in Christ to hold each other accountable on earth for our words and actions. Being accountable means being willing to explain your actions with honesty and openness. We will one day stand before God and will be held accountable for how we lived.

We are not meant to live as islands. Each one of us should have friends who can help us make the right decisions and restore when we've made wrong ones. We each have blind spots that we need help seeing. Pride and temptation can keep us from seeing the truth. It is when we rely on others for guidance and wisdom that we find the strength to be holy! Let's read what the Bible has to say about accountability and begin applying it to our own lives - for the glory of God

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
