Rooted and grounded in God's love

Good morning dear friends

Are you rooted and grounded in God's love? May we grow deeper in love in him.

My dear friends please note one's spiritual maturity in Christ is not measured by how many or how well we quote scripture verses, but it is measured by how we live out this life alligned to heaven (in God’s perfect will) and thus loving others.

Jesus spent his lifetime being prepared for 30 years (walking in humility) and then during his 3 year ministry pouring out love and giving to others. Shouldn't we follow his example.

My prayer for you is this:

Ephesians 3:14 - 20

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father [f]of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

When our roots grow deep in God’s love, one becomes unshakeable and immovable.

What does that mean? One is "plugged" into the source of love so

  • Persecution will not matter

  • The "naysayers" and critics will not matter

  • The earthly shakings will not matter

  • Adversity will not matter

"Externals" will not be our focus at all as we remain, resting and abiding IN GOD, basking in his love.

We have become so changed because the love of Christ dwells in us and thus we become passionate about the things God is passionate about - lost souls, the sick, the dying, the helpless, the destitute.

We live each day with an outward flow of love

Who can we bless today?

Who can we show kindness to?

Who can we encourage?

Who can we lift up with the love of Christ?

Amen

Our focus has changed from the I and me to the us and we in Christ.

That is truly the fulfilled life in Christ we truly understand the beatitude of IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE.

May God give us the grace and the power to truly love with the Agape. May we truly leave our mark for Christ each day ....

Live life and love abundantly

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again

Pastor J
