Faith vs Science.
"To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary.
To one without faith, no explanation is possible."
Thomas Aquinas
1225 AD -1274 AD
With the rapid growth and expansion of information technology one can easily conclude that never before in human history have mankind develop so swiftly and efficiently.
we are at the beginning of a Fourth Industrial Revolution, a new era that extends way beyond the first, second and third era of rapid human development.
Within all this mankind is becoming less faithful to beliefs and more trusting in self made devices, Jesus asked the question when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 The answer is, no! selfishness will enoculate humanity, self-indulgence and arrogance rejection of the past foundational teaching of Jesus Christ will be replaced by the god of science and pride in the inventions of modern technologies.
Secularism is growing to rejects and neglects the supernatural commonly associated with traditional religion but the writer of Hebrews points to faith in God which is an essential component of accessing God. "For without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11: 6)
True Christian beliefs are grounded in faith and in Jesus Christ as the central glory of our deliverance and redemption.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)
Through faith and trusting God he will make himself known.
"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me." (Proverbs 8:17)
Science investigates the natural world, while faith deals with the spiritual realm.
Many religious organizations have issued statements declaring that there need not be any conflict between religious faith and the scientific.
Next week I will examine that argument.
