Most products created today are inferior and the shelf lives shortened.
We replace cars.
We replace phones.
We replace furniture.
We replace relationships.
This generation replaces items instead of repairing them as previous generations did.
Some replaced their eyelashes for artificial and longer ones.
Some replaced their skin (bleaching) for a whiter shades.
And others replace external body parts for bigger with more curves.
This generation prides itself in materialism, self indulgence, self gratification and self identity.
There are big corporations that gather information and spending habits on this generation's behaviors with spending and shopping through various online platforms and social media groups with the intentions for profit.
These information gatherings are used to manipulate buyers and spenders on a large scale business conglomerate and large corporations use this to their advantage with the sole intention to profit, instead of repairing items sold to the masses they replace them.
Years ago while touring the Smithsonian a old tour guide proudly showed off the first light bulb invented by Thomas Edison in January 1879 that still worked. One of the visiting tourists commented that the bulbs at his house only last a few years, the old tour guide explained that in today's world profit and commercialization pushed manufacturers to lower the shelf life that drives consumers to spend more.
In the good old days;
We repaired cars.
We repaired furnitures
We repaired our relationships.
Older generations repaired many things.
Things were stronger and lasted longer.
"The Lord's disciples repaired their nets."
In the old days mechanics repaired cars.
In the old days technicians repaired televisions.
Husbands and wives repaired their relationships.
Many individuals in this generation are replacing God, this opens the door to Idolatry and moral decay.
“Neglecting the Rock who begot you and forgot the God who gave you birth...“Then God said, ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be, for they are a perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness."
(Deuteronomy 32:17&20)
God didn't replaced Jerusalem, back then he repaired
Jerusalem.
"Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach."(Isaiah 58:12)
God did not replace us, God repaired us.
Are you planning on replacing something?
Are you planning on replacing someone?
Oftentimes repairing is better than replacing.
Pray first and ask God his will earnestly before replacing issues in your life.
