Put On The New Man
I bring words of encouragement to you today to “put on the new man”. “…. Let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” Hebrew 12:1.
Putting on the new man requires us to put off some stuff. Put off the lying, the cheating, the backbiting, we have to put off in order to walk in the newness of life. The Bible in Ephesians 4:22-23 says, “that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.”
It is easy for us to get caught up in sinful acts. They are even ministries that are telling people once you are saved, it’s ok to sin but that is a lie from the pit of hell. “…. be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed ….,” Romans 12:2. Also, Christians are gravitating and listening to non-Christians more than people of the faith. Putting on the new man requires us to live in the spiritual.
“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness,” Ephesians 4:24. Righteousness, walking right according to the will of God. Holiness, being in total devotion to God.
