It is true that we are creatures of time and we only pass this way once in a lifetime.
Life is filled with opportunities, but the big question is what we do with them. Do we let them slip by, saying, “Maybe next time or There is always another day”? Or, do we seize them? We may not have as much time as we think.
Twice humans Lifespan had been reduced in Genesis 6:3 to one hundred and twenty years. Then again in Psalm 90:10 three scores and ten however those a little stronger would live a bit longer.
Although our lives are short, they're not meaningless
the Bible is clear in explaining where we are coming from why we are here and where we are going.
Early understanding of one calling and destiny is important it is also vital to the building up and advancement of God's purpose.
Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalms 90:12)
Technically no man can count the number of days he has to live on Earth, but rather the meaning of the verse is, that God would teach us to number our days, as if the present one was the last and we are fragile.
For we cannot boast of tomorrow, we know not what the immediate future holds.
This day, or night, our souls may be required of us.
But seriously that God would teach us to be sober and focus on the time and consider the shortness of our days. That they are but as the drew on the grass that the morning Sun vapourize.
Heavenly Father forgive us for the many times we have taken for granted the opportunities you have given us. We apologize for the wasted months and years.
Lord, we are sorry for not seriously using the many opportunities you have given us.
We repent, may we in the coming weeks and months change and mature.
Please teach us to number our days wisely.
