Prayer a divine conversation that transforms hearts and lives

As we start our new week, what better way than to start with prayer.

Prayer - our love language as we communicate with our wonderful Abbah Father. What an awesome dynamic instrument God created? Man cannot take this away, because even if imprisoned or restricted one can whisper a prayer and God still hears. What an awesome God!

I stumbled across these words as I started preparing it - "Prayer, a divine communication that transforms hearts and lifes". How true - our heart and our life first. Amen.

Now as I spoke last Sunday about prayer on YouTube I said I would continue on this topic. I really could go on and on and on about Prayer as it is fundamental in establishing our faith relationship with God, growing and accomplishing anything in our Christian life.

So let us talk about how we should pray as Jesus instructed in Matthew 6

“Also, when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to pray [publicly] standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets so that they may be seen by men. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, they [already] have their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your most private room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.

“And when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. So do not be like them [praying as they do]; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

“Pray, then, in this way:

‘Our Father, who is in heaven,Hallowed be Your name.10 ‘Your kingdom come,Your will be doneOn earth as it is in heaven.11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread.12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors letting go of both the wrong and the resentment].13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]’

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others [nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses

I expounded a bit in yesterday's message but will a bit more here. If I were to expound on this whole chapter it would take about 10 pages.

  • Let your will be done and your kingdom come not MY will and MY kingdom, but God's will. May we pray being led by the Holy Spirit. Amen

  • Only one is dedicated to asking for our needs. Where did we learn that we should only spend time asking for cars, houses, land and man? Lol. I pray we will truly understand God's heart of providing for us. Then we wouldn't beg, we would just rest in his provision. Amen

  • Forgiveness is mentioned in the Lord's prayer and even in a few verses after. We truly have grown in God and reflect Christ when we know that we should bless our enemies. I would say to you though a brother or sister in Christ, can never be an "enemy". Though God seperates sometimes. Our heart attitude should always be to forgive, to let go and leave in God's hands. Amen. Unforgiveness can be so subtle though, so ask God to show and reveal to us our TRUE heart condition. Bless, bless and bless your enemies is the key to walking free of all offences. In so doing, you surrender all to God and his perfect will to be done. Amen

Pray on my friends, pray on, but remember it is a relationship so there is conversation which involves two-way communication. God is speaking to you. Spend more time listening to his voice and responding to his instructions than talking at him.

Pray on my friends, Pray on

What a privilege it is - the dynamism of prayer!

Amen

I had closed my message last weekend and as I woke up this morning...I found these verses as I was doing my bible study. I will share the pictures here to bless you.

Amen

Walk Good in Christ

Till we meet again
