Poor choices & bad decisions

Poor choices & Bad decisions.

The Bible gives examples of individuals who make catastrophic choices and decisions that have destroyed themselves, their families, and ultimately nations. One example of this was the decision made by Abraham to sleep with his wife's handmaid, as suggested to him by his wife. This created turmoil in his family relationship and ultimately created catastrophic repercussions for nations, which continues till today.

Factors such as age and socioeconomic status and cultural beliefs can also impact the choices and decisions people make.

What are the results of bad decisions?

Bad decision-making can lead to disastrous results. It can hinder progress and derail even the most promising endeavors.

failure to set clear objectives will result in bad decisions.

The Word of God provides profound wisdom for making choices in our life. We are encouraged to ask God to give us wisdom as we go through life.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him" ( James 1:5).

In Proverbs, the book of Wisdom, we are told that

“The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death. Good judgment wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful leads to their destruction. All who are prudent act with knowledge, but fools expose their folly” (Proverbs 13:12-18).

Remembering the advice of scripture, and relying on the guidance of God when making choices or facing big decisions, is paramount in the lives of every Christian.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

The journey of life is filled with many uncertainty, Christians and told to trust God and have faith.

God knows everything we are going through at this very moment and everything we will go through in the future.

He knows the best way to handle every situation so we get the best possible outcome and results so we need to trust him wholeheartedly.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Allowing God to work out every choice and decision

Is the best antidote for poor choices and bad decisions.
