Naloxone is a treatment given to people who have overdosed on opioids, such as, fentanyl, oxycodone and hydrocodone. Overdosing on these drugs causes the heart to stop beating and naloxone reverses this and allows the heart to return to its natural function. These drugs leads to death, much like sin. Romans 6:23, “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Saints of God I came in contact with naloxone last night, I had no knowledge of this drug before. While in the ministry yesterday, we saw some addicts running towards us asking if we have naloxone. Workers from the shelter close by ran out with gloves on, being led by the addicts to a particular spot. Only to hear that someone was overdosing on drugs. Matthew 11:28, “come on to me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give rest.”
Jesus Christ is my naloxone! Many times we find ourselves into situations that are overwhelming and it feels like we have overdosed on it, but God. Pressures of life, bills, cost of living, children and family members. Pressures that are associated with the job, our health, matters surrounding the Church and friends. When these times come upon us draw for your naloxone, which is Christ Jesus. He will bring back life and relevance to us because “He is (I am) the way the truth and life,” John 14:6.
Brothers and sisters try my naloxone, whether you are a Christian or not, try Jesus and He will relieve you of all your sins, all your troubles and all your pain.
God Bless.
