Love is the Greatest!

The "Love Chapter" 1 Corinthians 13 ends with these words LOVE IS THE GREATEST

Verse 13 reads as:

13 And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.

Truly LOVE is the greatest of all virtues. Not the superficial "feeling thingy" but love which flows from a heart that is connected to and flows out of relationship with God. Love overflows horizontally to others, from a vertical infilling of the love of our Abbah Father.

(Romans 5:5 Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us)

Love for others becomes "effortless" when we are first filled with God's love as LOVE IS THE VERY CHARACTER AND NATURE OF GOD.

All the fruit of the spirit comes from ONE FRUIT - LOVE.

It is not possible to LOVE and curse our brothers and sisters at the same, even when offended, our course of action should be to bless. Blessing means TO SPEAK WELL OF SOMEONE. TO PRONOUNCE GOD'S WILL UPON AN INDIVIDUAL. Shouldn't we be able to do that even if wronged, wounded or offended. Bless and not curse (Reference Romans 12).

Religion, doesn't last, it will be exposed in the light of God's purifying fire. Only love remains. Love will outlast all the other graces of the gifts of the spirit. Eg speaking in tongues and prophesying.

It is evident if one is connected in relationship to God by the choices they make, the things they speak the fruit of the relationships around them

LOVE is the only gift the enemy cannot mimic

May God perfect our hearts in love so that we may be true examples of God's undeserved love, grace and mercy in this season

Walk Good in Christ

Till we meet again
