I learned so many lessons from this grueling winter season. Normally we have cold nights below zero but the temperature goes up most days to about 10°C. Since I have lived here, this has been the coldest with most days -4°c and the nights the same. I have heard from my English friends though that there are years when it got worse. What makes it unbearable too is the fact that we are having an energy crisis and for me I just decide to economise by keeping the heating on for a limited period of time.
I am still grateful no matter what I face each day, for God is with us
So here is what I learned
1 There will be different seasons no matter what we do, and one season cannot be subverted for another. We can pray pray pray, but we cannot have Spring or Summer in the winter season. So it is with the seasons of our life
2 Some seasons we've just got to "tough it out" with God ask him for the grace and strength. He will give us all we need to sustain us
3 We need to be a people learn to adjust and adapt very quickly rather than "crying over spilled milk" . We don't do the same thing we do in summers. We need to layer up in Winters...I tell you, some days I looked like an Eskimo, but man I was warm.
4 Ask God for strategy for the different seasons, I learned quite a few energy saving tips. Like getting a heated clothes airer dryer which uses only 39p per hour than the regular £4.49 per hour with a regular dryer. God gives us wisdom and strategy as we ask him.
Those were a few of the lessons I learned and I am thanking God every day for keeping us and watching over every single detail in our life in every season
Instead of wishing uncomfortable "things" away, may we learn lessons and gain insight even when facing extreme circumstances. Every day is a learning day I heard a friend once say and indeed life can be an enriching, learning and fulfilling experience if we let God have his way
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
