Knowing your ministry
Knowing your ministry is first of all connected to knowing your purpose. God made you for a special purpose. Psalm 139:13 - 18 nlt
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
17 How precious are your thoughts about me,[b] O God. They cannot be numbered! 18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
There is scientific evidence to the existence of God and the intricasy with which he created each individual. Each individual has their own unique finger and tongue print. The way the capillaries form around the iris is also quite unique in each individual.
God not only created your physical body with such wonder, he carved out a special purpose and ministry for you.
This particular work that God called you for is all about manifesting God’s glory in your life. Ever look at how beautiful a sunrise or sunset is - the heavens declare God’s glory. So it is when we surrender all in our lives we will shine for his glory.
So how do we know our ministry and calling?
1 Ask God - it is all about God and as we grow deeper in God, we move in sync with his heartbeat - our daily stance is - "Yes Lord, here I am, do what you will Lord, I will proactively increase your Kingdom Father. Let only your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen"
Be careful that after you ask God to listen to him carefully for his response. Many talk to or at God but never really listen to him. In the surrendered life, we listen to God more than we talk at him. Amen
2 What are you passionate about? God will put his desires in your heart when you surrender. He will give you a zeal and thirsting after that particular work he called you into. Let me give you examples:
Some can never walk past the hungry and homeless without feeling a great desire to do something about this, something is stirred every time they encounter this depravity in humanity.
Some are so outraged when seeing others being abused
Then there are others too ...I have mentored for spiritual warfare...quite a few do not get it and depend on you heavily to take them through deliverance. That special one comes as you speak a few sentences on the matter, they get it, they understand it, they run with it. Why? Because God called them for Spiritual Warfare. Spiritual things are Spiritually discerned.
3 Consider carefully the gifts God has given you. Your gifts will be connected to your ministry
1 Peter 4:7 - 11 nlt
7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.
10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
I hope this has ministered to you. May God stir up the gifts in you and use you mightily to increase his Kingdom in Jesus name. Amen.
Yours in Christ
