Keeping it Real
It has been on me for quite a while to write an article of this nature. Saints, the Lord has been taking me down a path that actually reveals the realistic truth of the word of God. James 1:23-24 states, “for if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgeteth what manner of man he was.”
2 Timothy 2:15, “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, righty dividing the word of truth. These scriptures are quoted many times but are we actually living them. After we have studied, we are able to rightly divide and to show. This is the activity of the word of God. The word of God is active not passive. I am convinced we Christians live a selective Christian life.
When we gave our life over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we gave Him all of us, not just a part. Are we living a complete Christian life? Matthew 7:18, “a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” There has to be a reflection of Christ in all aspects of our lives. Christianity is complete, lacking nothing. Colossians 2:10, “and ye are complete in Him, which are the head of all principality and power.”
A Christian life must signify victory, not in some areas of our lives but all. Just keeping it real.
God Bless.
