Just simply GRATEFUL

It doesn't matter what happened yesterday, we have a New Day with God in it

If we really count our blessings we will realise we have a lot to be grateful for.

Here are a few bible verses on Thanksgiving

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Psalm 103:1-4 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV) As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Isaiah 12:4-5 (NASB) And on that day you will say, "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted." Praise the LORD in song, for He has done glorious things; let this be known throughout the earth.

What is the importance of giving God thanksgiving?

Thankfulness keeps our hearts in right relationship to the Giver of all good gifts.

Giving thanks also reminds us of how much we do have. Human beings are prone to covetousness. We tend to focus on what we don’t have. By giving thanks continually we are reminded of how much we do have. When we focus on blessings rather than wants, we are happier. When we start thanking God for the things we usually take for granted, our perspective changes. We realize that we could not even exist without the merciful blessings of God.

Here are some real things to thank him for:

  • We have a Father, a friend, a husband, a defender....he really is our all in all, our everything

  • Life and the new opportunities and miracles we could have today....if one looks with different "eyes" we will see God’s wonders all around...nature, family, so so much.

An attitude of gratitude really makes a difference.

If you're used to complaining and groaning through life....ask God to give you a Spirit of Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship. Then just begin to say thank you God every time you are tempted to complain and see the difference it will make.

As I end this message I just want to say for us all

THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS UPON US.

Amen

Walk good in Christ till we meet again
