“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22)
God gives us seasons that is evidenced all around us and so it is in our own lives.
He will never give us all winter or all night time.
We always have something to look forward to IN HIM.
Weeping endures for a night (during the darkness) but Joy comes in the morning (with the dawning, the rising of the sun)
No matter how dark the night is the dawn always comes!
Let us learn from the mutability of the seasons, to experience God in different ways
In different seasons we discover God as healer, deliverer after we walked through a deep dry and blistery "winter" in yet others as our only sustainer and provider. In Spring we discover him as Jehovah Mkaddesh, sanctifying us as we birth new ideas and dimensions in him. Summer seasons we can experience such exuberant joy and laughter as we are refreshed, we think nothing else could ever go wrong.
We can learn to adapt to each season with acceptance knowing God is with us and for us. This means joy continues no matter what the externals are.
I believe how we progress in this life is dependent on how willing we are to adapt to changing situations and seasons and to adopt new creative ways of doing things even when there may seem to be limitations all around.
We need to forget the former things and listen to God carefully even as he makes a way even in the wilderness
Are you experiencing a winter season your life? With dryness and cold? Look to God for sustenance, even when no one else is there he is close by. He will provide for you in unprecedented ways as he even caused the ravens to feed Elijah in 1 Kings 17
and he provides in famine for his people
Psalm 37:18/19
18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
And their inheritance will continue forever.
19 They will not be [b]ashamed in the time of evil, And in the days of famine they will have plenty and be satisfied.
He provides for us in every way - physically, emotionally, every way - there is wholeness in God.
May we move from the place of
"Why this season Lord?"
To this prayer
"Yes Lord I choose to enjoy every season of life because though seasons change, you never change and our peace, stability and joy are dependent on you. I have proved you time and time again, because you are a Faithful Father and I now choose to move out with assurance knowing all things (and seasons) work for my good and your glory"
Amen
Walk Good in Christ
Till we meet again
