There are those who love church more than God, there are those who love the preaching style more than God's word and are emotionally stirred by the choirs singing that perfect note more-than praises unto our awesome God.
Michael W. Smith's words in the song, "When the music fades
And all is stripped away", exposes the "hype" and the"bling" within the church environment. This song seriously reminds us of the importance of truly Who it is all about.
The song writer continues "You (God) search much deeper within though the way things apear you're looking into my heart."
The all knowing, ever present, everlasting God knows our true intentions and motives, it is as the psalmist says, “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” (Psalm 24:3–4).
We must simply come before God openly and genuinely. God is longing for us just to bring
Something thats of worth, real praise, real worship, real prayer and real selflessness!
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
God's love is ever reciprocating and in return God will bless your heart from his more than enough, "Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me."
It is not about our gratification but God's glory.
