Topic: Impact*
Scripture: Luke 8:37
[37]And all the people in the region of the Gerasenes begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone, for a great wave of fear swept over them.So Jesus returned to the boat and left, crossing back to the other side of the lake.
MESSAGE FOR THE DAY: Impact will not always have feedback.
From the story, Jesus went to a new place and as he was climbing down from the boat, a man that was seriously demon possessed was the first he saw and he cast out the demons, they entered the herd of pig and the pigs drowned. This man had been this way for long and now finally this impossible case has been solved but when the people came, they said to Jesus, go away from us. What you do will not always have the deserved feedback.* You would think they would rejoice and spread the news and invite everyone to bring their sick and oppressed but they didn't even allow Jesus go further, they told him to leave their town and Jesus honoured their request and returned. If you were to be the judge of this outreach, you may say it failed, the people didn't give attention, they chased us out of their city. They didn't even thank God for the man healed, no one was concerned about the miracle, they only cared about the pigs.
impact will not always show the full extent of it,* sometimes while you think that programme didn't go well because only one person was saved, that one could be all God wanted from the programme. The man that was healed went about doing evangelism after then. *Jesus healed only one man but that one man became the city's evangelist.* Beloved, *don't measure your impact from feedback.* That little prayers may be doing wonders that you never know, that devotional may be affecting a larger audience than you know. That facebook post may be convicting someone somewhere and you may never know. *If you focus on feedback you will lose relevance.* Maintain your consecration, keep organizing that programme, keep doing that prayer, keep growing.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW;
You may not receive likes and comments but someone somewhere may be repenting because of your post. *Just focus on the impact and forget the feedback.* No one applauded David for killing a lion and bear but a Goliath was on his way to do the announcement. *Keep doing what you do, allow God decide when to announce you.*
Prayer:
Father, teach us to stay in purpose irrespective of the feedback we see in Jesus precious Name.
