Good morning my friends
Are you listening to God?
I did some research as to the difference between hearing and listening. Here is the research:
Definitions: Hearing vs. ListeningAccording to the dictionary, hearing is defined as “the process, function or power of perceiving a sound.”On the other hand, the same dictionary defines listening as “to hear something with thoughtful attention.”In their definitions alone, it’s clear to see the big difference between the two. Listening requires attention, meaning it’s active. Hearing is passive — you can’t close your ears, so sounds will enter and be heard. This makes it involuntary.
Active listening:
The listener is attempting to really internalize and understand what they are hearing. This requires motivation and purpose. The listener has an intention to connect and participate.
Passive listening:
Exhibits itself when the listener is disconnected and is unreceptive
God is always speaking.
We can hear his voice if we ask him to speak to us and wait in his presence.
Psalm 24
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah
I pray God will open your spiritual ears so you can hear his voice clearly. I pray he will open your spiritual eyes to see.
Now this is what I really want to talk to you about today. Whenever you hear God's voice, one should listen and listening should motivate you into some kind of action to allign you to God's will, plan and purpose. It is a fruit of the surrendered life in Christ. One will not move until they hear God's voice. We submit ourselves to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and allow God to lead and guide us in all we do.
I tell you this is the key to having answered prayers, successful Spiritual Warfare techniques and effective intercession. Let God, let God have his way.
I tell you simply God had us in training in the last season, it is time for promotion. He is gathering the army and moving them forward. Have you learned the lessons?
Have you learned to live and move and breathe IN HIM.
Align yourselves today, it is not too late.
He is speaking to you, LISTEN!
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
Pastor J
