Hear My Cry Good Lord
Psalm 86:1-3, “bow down thine ear O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God save thy servant that trusted in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord; I cry unto thee ….”
Adonai, meaning My Lord, was David’s cry when he said “O Lord”. It was a very compassionate cry for help, as his life was engulfed in fighting, backbiting and turmoil all around him. David’s cry recognized and affirmed the fact that his help comes only from the Lord. A cry that all Christians must have; a genuine cry.
The world today is in a bad state. We have forsaken the way of Christ Jesus and are serving other gods. The world is poor and needy, we are in poverty and wretchedness but as David prayed, we must also pray. O Lord we cry to you today! “Among the gods there is none like unto thee: O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works,” vs. 8.
My cry today is for the people of the world. They are weak, destitute and under the auspices of the enemy. They are naked and without knowledge of their nakedness but you Adonai are able to give and forgive.
God Bless.
