He is Enough
I want to declare to us today that He is enough, God is enough. “When we have a work to do and the task ahead seems bigger than you, that’s when He steps in. When you know in your heart that God’s command takes more than can be done by man, that’s when He steps in. He sees you at the point of your need, He sees you at the point of crossing your Red Sea. In the moment you call, when you’ve given your all, He steps in, He steps in,” Alvin Slaughter.
God is our El Shaddai, God is “the overpowered” meaning, God will overpower all our oppositions and do what He proposed to do. Shaddai means Mighty and El is God; God Almighty is His name. In Genesis 17:1 God introduced Himself to Abram as Almighty God and to Jacob in Genesis 35:11 as God Almighty. God is enough, not God and our abilities but God alone.
God is all sufficient, He is able to supply all our needs and to make us fruitful. 1 Peter 5:6-7, “humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” He is enough! In 2nd Corinthians 12:9 it says, “and He said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made prefect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
The chorus for Alvin Slaughter’s song goes; “what’s in your hand I can use it, if you’re willing to lose it. Take the little you have and make it grand; I am El Shaddai and I’ll more than supply your need.” God is Enough!
