Great peace comes from loving God's law and not keeping offences

Good morning friends

I stand in for Pastor Bruff and his wife today. I was just led to share on a particular insight given by God. The word says in the last days many will be offended. I can clearly see that this is a tool the enemy is using with frequency against God's people. I even find my self wrestling quite often with the wrong others have unjustly done to me. My prayer constantly is: Lord help me to just shake it off, not take any root in me at all, help me to give every injustice to you Father and take away any thought or intention of retaliation.

I tell you looking at how I have responded in many situations recently God has truly matured me. Thank you Lord only you can do this work of perfecting us.

You see the enemy knows he couldn't tempt me with robbing a bank, or in other areas but he sure would know how to pull my tongue..lol

Lord help me, Lord help us.

We just have no time to respond to the many insults, injustice or persecutions....leave it to God.

Blessed are the peace makers for they will be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9)

To be a peacemaker means continuing to walk in the Spirit and not being led by our emotions. God will give us the grace to do so each day.

I did an in depth study and decided to share with you.

Psalm 119:165

Great peace have they which love your law and nothing will offend them.

Here is the link for the full study and I will share a bit of it

If you hide away in the secret place of God in His presence and enjoy sweet fellowship with Him in His word then there will be no room in your heart to take offense. Your heart will be filled with God's peace.

If you find that you are offended by someone or something, that is a good barometer to say that you need more time in God's presence.

How do I know this to be true?

Because I don't always practice what I preach!

I'm getting better at not taking offense and I have realized that most times people don't mean to be offensive. The more time I spend with God throughout my day I am reminded that I am a daughter of the King and that I am a child of God. It is so important to learn who God says you are. When you comprehend your worth in God you don't get offended easily.

......

Have you ever noticed that when you read a motivational or inspirational quote on peace or joy it makes you smile and may lift your mood but when you read a scripture quote on peace it can transform your whole disposition?

This happens when you delight yourself in the Lord through prayerfully reading His word. When we fill our hearts and minds with His word we are constantly reminded of God and His promises.

Delighting in the Lord means that when problems and challenges invade your day that you will have God's word stored up in your mind and heart to fight the battle and have God's supernatural peace.

Delighting in the law of the Lord means that you will not stumble when temptations come your way because you will recognize them for what they are. You will have God's discernment to avoid them. God's law is perfect and when we obey it we will not stumble.

(End of adaptation)

I pray God will help us to grow because every time we make it our focus, a wrong done to us - we begin to keep it, to store it, we become offended. Help us to shake it off, leave it to God "care-front" (not confront) but absolutely refuse to keep it in our heart.

True freedom is our portion in God and only the truth of God's word will set us free

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again

Pastor J
