I just want to remind you today of God’s sovereignty and of the fact that he is the all powerful, all mighty God. He still rules and reigns in victory.
I also want to remind you that when God’s children faced enemies, the armies were usually larger in number and more powerful.
Look at the lifestory of King David as he faced Golioth and many other enemies and God led David into victory again and again. He kept his covenant concerning Israel and the Prophetic utterances leading up to the birth of Christ.
Read the story of King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20 as it details how God brought the armies of Israel into Victory when many armies stood in collusion against them.
Please note these words concerning Moses and the Exodus detailed in Exodus1:
6 Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, 7 but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.
8 Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt. 9 “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”
11 So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites 13 and worked them ruthlessly.14 They made their lives bitter with harsh labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their harsh labor the Egyptians worked them ruthlessly.
Please read the rest of the account of The Exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt into the promised land.
When we look at these accounts, we realize the times that we live in are no different. It seems as if currently there is a minority who have an agenda to rule and control the majority.
So what do we do as God's people?
Renounce and denounce fear
Stand "flat footed" trusting God
Stand unified as there is strength in unity
Ask God to give us truth, the boldness, empowerment and resources to take the gospel.
Ask God for the grace we need and the peace that passes all understanding
Has God ever lost a battle? Never ever.
Endure ie. Wait carefully on his timing and remember to Worship Him while you wait. GOD WILL DELIVER US!
Amen
Walk Good in Christ
Till we meet again
