God Still Favors Us
Our travel day was upon us and even though we were leaving early, I still made time to talk to God. This prayer was one like no other. I found myself asking the Lord for favors as we travel. I was also very specific with my requests. I ask for favors at the check in counter and from the custom officers. I even prayed that we would be upgraded to first class.
Psalm 5:12, “for thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Matthew 7:7-8, “ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
After arriving at the airport, we proceeded to the check in line that surprisingly was not long. Then an agent beckoned to us, as it was now our time to check in. I am always a bit reserved whenever I approach the counter but there was no need this time. The agent welcomed us to the counter with exuberance. All my reservations quickly disappeared. She upgraded us from the back of the airplane to row 1, the front. She said passengers pay up to $400 extra for these seats. Everything after went smoothly. To God be all the glory! God Still Favors Us.
“For the Lord God is a Sun and a Shield; the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly,” Psalm 84:11.
God Bless.
