God's requirement - Do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God

Dear friends

I bid you good morning and hope you have a wonderful day in the Lord.

I began to think and summarise that it is not difficult to serve God at all. We only need to serve him wholeheartedly.

These scripture verses came to mind.

Micah 6

What God Requires of Man

With what shall I come before the Lord [to honor Him]And bow myself before God on high?Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,With yearling calves? Will the Lord be delighted with thousands of rams,Or with ten thousand rivers of oil?Shall I present my firstborn for my acts of rebellion,The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of youExcept to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion),And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness]?

I will also share an adapted exposition below:

“Walk humbly” is a description of the heart’s attitude toward God. God’s people depend on Him rather than their own abilities (Micah 2:3). Instead of taking pride in what we bring to God, we humbly recognize that no amount of personal sacrifice can replace a heart committed to justice and love. Israel’s rhetorical questions had a three-part progression, and verse 8 contains a similar progression. The response of a godly heart is outward (do justice), inward (love mercy), and upward (walk humbly).

The message of Micah is still pertinent today. Religious rites, no matter how extravagant, can never compensate for a lack of love (1 Corinthians 13:3). External compliance to rules is not as valuable in God’s eyes as a humble heart that simply does what is right. God’s people today will continue to desire justice, mercy, and humility before the Lord.

Here ends the adaptation

There is no halfway in God my friends may we commit fully today dear friends giving him our all and everything. He is truly worthy of our best! When we give him our best we enter into living a lifestyle of Worship - living a life that glorifies God.

All our joys, our sorrow, our pain, our triumphs, our victories, our failures, our mistakes, our valleys, our mountains - will be IN HIM.

Such a wonderful place to be - loved and accepted, forgiven, covered.....

I thank God for that place IN HIM

We will do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God as we provide our bodies as living sacrifices before him.

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
