Isaiah 49:15/16
15“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
16Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me
I wrote these words based these verses:
God says "Come to me"
God remembers
He looks down on man with compassion and mercy
He draws
He searches
He seeks
He remembers because
He created you for his glory
His words are simply "Come to me, give me your all"
He so desires relationship with each and every one of us
And when we say
Yes papa
He keeps us
He provides for us
He protects us
He so builds us up
Even causing the elements and the surroundings to bring forth such an exceeding abundant blessing over us
He doesn't want to punish us
He so wants to bless us
It is our own choices that lead us away from him and down the pathway to destruction
And he still says "come"
And he will show glimpses of himself even in our desparity and brokenness (that result when we go away from him)..
He still says "come"
"Come as you are and give me your all"
God remembers us
"Come there is no more a need to run away"
He will meet us as "the prodigal" when we return.
He remembers and he still calls you son
Amen
