In Ephesians chapter one we are told that a down payment has been made, a deposit, guaranteeing our inheritance. It will be put into effect when the time has reach it's fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. We are marked in him with the seal of the Holy Spirit and for this reason we must not worry about the current things happening around us in the world today, because we have the comforter.
Most Christians do not come from the privileged classes, therefore life does not consist of an abundance of material things. If that were the case, Jesus would have been the wealthiest of men. But just the opposite is true, while here on earth Jesus lived simple and had no great possession,(Matthew 8:20).
He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will, he chose us himself before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, he offered us eternal life with excessive abundances.
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9)
The Lord Jesus Christ promises us a life far better than we could ever imagine with no sadness, no sorrows and no woes. The unsearchable riches of God.
Yesterday I looked out the back door and saw the Napier grass towering fifteen feet high with thousands of seedlings created by God to multiple and increase the population of its species. Later when I drove along the highway heading into Kingston I noticed hundreds of the same tall grass with tens of thousands of seedlings, what an abundance! My mind began pondering on how much more God? Beginning to imagine the vast universe with tens of billions of stars, nebula, pulsars and super novas. Enormous isn't even great enough to discribe God's abundances. To my little mind words are not able to express the depth height or width of the living God.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9).
God has made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,"That he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding and his incomparably great power are for us who believe". (Ephesians 1:8,19).
I pray you will stand strong in your faith and know this, that all God's promises are sure.
